Auto Sum Command in Excel
The Auto Sum command is probably one of the most popular commands in Excel. On the Ribbon you will find it on the Home tab in the Editing group. This command will add a row or column of numbers. The keyboard shortcut for Auto sum is Alt+= . What you may not know is, you can select a group of numbers and extend the fields by one row and or column and when you use Alt+= it will total all rows and columns that are preselected. This is a great time saver if you work with large amounts of data.
