Introduction to Evernote

We all have those apps that become a part of our daily lives. We don't know what we would do without it. Well, mine is Evernote. Evernote is a note taking application but it does so much more. It allows you to clip web articles, URLs, pages, pdf documents, files, pictures...basically anything you want to save and organized. In my work life I have folders for training, projects, conferences and session notes, In my personal life, I have a notebook where I store all of my recipes, crochet patterns I get on the internet, a notebook for each of my kids, a page with links to important information like insurance, accounts, receipts, email confirmations and on and on. The app is free and is available on iPhones, iPads, Android devices,PC's and Mac's. Change the Font Size of the Outlook Message List

I know it has been a really long time since I have posted. Hopefully it won't be so long after this post.

This weekend I was sitting on my couch trying to read my email. The lighting is not good, and my eyes don't see like they used to so I was squinting to read. I noticed in my inbox an email from a blog I subscribe to. The subject was "Change the Font Size of the Outlook Message List". Talk about timing. I am now sporting a 14pt font and no more squinting.

Microsoft Office OneNote Now Available on Android Devices

This is about the best news I have heard all day! This app has been available on iPads for a year and even though I am a huge fan of Evernote, which I have been using for a couple of years, OneNote rocks!!! I have been using Symbaloo and simply LOVE it! I am on the web a lot with my job researching web tools, accessing applications that we subscribe to at GCCISD and this makes my job a whole lot easier.

Symbaloo is a customizable start page tool that lets users add all their most important links in a format that is easy to use. The user’s webmix appears as sleek buttons with icons or logos. The user can drag and drop items to organize them in a way that is convenient and practical. The items, or tiles, can be searched so users can find those that are most relevant to the items they are adding. Users can view their home webmix or browse webmix collections. News highlights and major news are also accessible through tabs on the Symbaloo homepage. The user can access an online resource simply by clicking one of the tiles on the webmix they are currently viewing.
